Partnership Spotlight - Nuneaton and Bedworth PCN
"Nuneaton & Bedworth PCN hold a Walk & Talk group and a Buggy Talk group each week where we bring people together for a walk around our local park followed by a cuppa, chat and quiz back at Saints. These groups support those that are lonely or isolated and the warm welcome we receive upon our return to Saints each week is the reason why we keep returning to the same venue. All of the staff and volunteers are so welcoming and helpful and the space is perfect for our sessions.
We also use these sessions as an opportunity to introduce people to Saints and all the groups they offer so that we can connect people with their local community even further and build a stronger, more compassionate community together.
To know that Saints is a safe place for people to attend is really important to us as social prescribers; we value greatly the amazing relationship we have with the team and the support we can offer to our community by working in partnership together." - Karen Ashby, PCN Lead Social Prescribing Link Worker

Repair Cafe
In 2025, in partnership with Warwickshire Climate Alliance, we hosted our very first Repair Café. Local people were able to bring items and small appliances that were in need of repair to a team of volunteer repairers, and get advice on how to keep them in good condition and repair themselves in future. Not only is this a brilliant way for local people to save money and extend the life of their items, it has a positive impact on the environment too, reducing waste and encouraging reuse.

Listening without judgement
For a few years, we ran a project called 'Open Sofa', after we identified a need for a designated space for people just wanting to talk. Over the years, we have met many people who are lonely, often suffering from isolation as a result of health challenges and deprivation.
We set aside a comfortable sofa in the café and several times a week there was a listening volunteer there, for anyone just needing a chat.
This project is currently on pause, but we recognise the value of this work and we are hoping to expand on this again in the future, once we have recruited more volunteers.

It is such a privilege to be on the Open Sofa, that people are so willing to share their fears and joys with me
